FAQs

Q: What services do you offer?
A: I am available for a wide variety of events, concerts and wedding services, including but not limited to:

  • Weddings
  • Commitment Ceremonies
  • Vow Renewals
  • Corporate Events
  • Fundraisers
  • Dinner Parties
  • Romantic Serenades
  • Bar/Bat Mitzvah
  • Special Occasions

Q: Would you describe your wedding services?
A: Seating and ceremony is my most basic option. This includes 30 minutes of prelude music as your guests are seated. Once the ceremony begins, I frequently play while honored guests are seated as well as for the entrance of the attendants and the bridal processional. If requested, I can play a piece during the ceremony for a ritual or reflection. I typically play exit music as the couple is announced and the ceremony concludes. I can also be booked for a shorter period. Please inquire for details.

Q: Do you offer any additional wedding services?
Yes! Many couples opt for cocktail hour as well. I am also available for your first dance, a unique experience! A rehearsal is included in this option. I am sometimes hired to play for a rehearsal dinner or during the reception. Read more about my wedding services.

Q: How do I book you?
A: Please fill out our inquiry form, so we may provide a custom quote. We ask for a 50% deposit and a signed contract to reserve the date.

Q: How far in advance should I contact you?
A: Dates fill up quickly, but I am also sometimes available on short notice. Please reach out to discuss my availability.

Q: What kind of music do you play?
A: I play everything from classical to contemporary. That includes formal pieces, light classical, upbeat ones, traditional wedding music, sacred music and modern songs, including movie themes and pop music you hear on the radio. We can tailor the program to your needs and tastes, or you may leave it to my discretion. I will work with you to create a musical vision. Here are recordings and videos that offer samples of my classical playing.

Q: Do you honor special requests?
A: We welcome them and will try our best to accommodate if there is a good arrangement available.

Q: Do you need anything from me?
A: I need a flat surface, a chair without arms and adequate reading light. My cello needs protection from direct sunlight, and I will need shelter in the event of rain.

Q: Do you travel?
A: Yes, definitely! I frequently travel for events. I do have a travel fee if your event is located outside of the Atlanta vicinity, so let’s discuss. Here are some of the venues, including churches and synagogues, where I have played in recent years.

Q: Do you attend rehearsals?
A: If you opt for my first dance option, a rehearsal is included in the wedding services. In other cases, I am happy to do so for my typical hourly charge.

Q: What is your background?
A: I am a full-time professional musician and have studied cello since I was 7 years old. I attended a specialized music high school and received a B.Mus. in Musical Performance, Cello. My master’s degree is from the Eastman School of Music, which is considered one of the world’s premiere music schools and heralded for its 90 years of excellence in the field of musical performance.
